MPC presents a previously unseen technical breakdown of their work produced for Life on Pi, for the Storm of God and sinking sequences.

MPC VFX Supervisor Guillaume Rocheron and VFX Producer Genevieve West led the team, delivering over 110 shots in native stereo.

MPC's main areas of work included creating two massive storm sequences: the sinking of Pi's cargo ship The Tsimtsum, and the Storm of God, the dramatic climax to Pi's journey aboard his marooned lifeboat. Other work included animating over 20 panicked animals aboard the sinking ship, creating a CG lizard, hornbill and Cassowaries for the opening titles and the first shots of Pi leaving India on board The Tsimtsum.

The final trailer for Pixar’s Monsters University has finally been unveiled. Monsters University is a animated comedy film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures. Dan Scanlon is the director and Kori Rae is the producer. It is the fourteenth film produced by Pixar and the prequel to 2001's Monsters, Inc.

Homeless, and with his son Andrew in tow, he struggles to find a job in streets crowded with unemployed workers. Yet, Andrew naïve and innocent only enjoys tagging along, until his dad's frustration fouls his playfulness.

But as Frank discovers his son's sad mood, he begins to cheer him up, playing on his imagination. As the days progress, the goal of keeping his son happy becomes more and more a focus. Along the way his son's imagination and joy affects him and finally his own happiness rises -- just to be thundered down by reality!

In the end, Frank accepts this harsh reality for what it is, by drawing on the optimism he found in his son's imagination and goes out to face it.
