has posted on their facebook page, saying that in Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted, Alex the Lion has about 2288 individual controls to allow the animators to position him into any conceivable pose. Looks like the riggers for the movie Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted had a hard time rigging the characters.

It's Technology Tuesday here at DreamWorks Animation! Alex the Lion from our upcoming film Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted is such an expressive character, that he has 2288 individual controls to allow the animators to position him into any conceivable pose!

News Say that there will be two Smiths giving voice over for the movie Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted. We already know Jada Pinkett Smith is giving one voice over, but this time her daughter too has a character voice over.

Toy Story 3 | Lotso Animation Progression | Disney Pixar

Found this Animation Progression done by Disney Pixar, for the movie Toy Story 3. This is the Basic way how to start to complete a animation shoot. Start with a storyboard and end with the final rendering.

How do our animators translate an idea from storyboard to final frame? This photo album takes you through the process with Lotso!

1. This storyboard was drawn by Toy Story 3 story artist Jeff Pidgeon and is one of approximately 500 drawings done by various story artists in the final storyreel of Sequence # 300 - Warm Welcome, where the toys are welcomed by Lotso and tour the Butterfly room at Sunnyside Daycare.

2. This concept art piece was done by Toy Story 3 Art Director Dice Tsutsumi, showcasing the exploration of color and design of new characters and new environments.

3. This frame shows the camera and staging phase which precedes character animation, known as Layout. The set is not fully built at this point and is finalized once layout is finished. Some background toys are still not present. Set dressing is also not final and will be refined once animation is completed.

4. Final character animation poses. The primary and secondary characters are animated by keyframe. Hundreds of background toys are populating Sunnyside Daycare.

5. Final animation of the characters' clothes, which is animated by dynamic simulation. In this shot, Barbie and Ken clothes are simulated. This final frame shows the final shading (material textures) for the set and all of the surfaces have texture, color, patterns, and material properties that will respond appropriately when lit by the Lighting Department.

Final lighting. The Lighting Department is responsible for integrating all of the elements (characters, set pieces, cloth animation, etc.) to create the final imagery. The lighting is achieved by placing virtual light sources in the scene which illuminate on the characters and the set. Many dozens of lights are often required as well as lighting effects such as the shafts of sunlight seen in this shot. Lotso was a particularly challenging character for the Shading and Lighting Departments because he is completely covered with fur.

Toy Story 3 Behind The Scenes

Toy Story 3, Behind The Scenes, wallpaper, poster, making, movie, animation, 3d, pixar

Behind the scenes look at the making of Toy Story 3, watch the artist and animators go to work.
THe software use is Marionette, is the proprietary software developed and used in-house by Pixar Animation Studios in the animation of their movies and shorts. Marionette is not available for sale and is only used by Pixar.

As a result little is known outside of Pixar about the detailed workings of this software. Pixar claims that Marionette is designed to be intuitive and familiar to animators who have traditional cel animation experience. Pixar chooses to use a proprietary system in lieu of the commercial products available and used by other companies because it can edit the software code to meet their needs. One example of this editing is shown in extra features of The Incredibles DVD; it is explained that previous versions of Marionette were not able to stretch models in the ways needed to correctly animate Elastigirl so the in-house Marionette development team created a new version that included this feature.

Birth of Mickey Mouse the Cartoon and more 3

Mickey Mouse, Mickey Mouse wallpaper, Mickey Mouse poster

Design and voice

The character has gone through some major changes through his existence. The first one happened with The Pointer in 1939 and The Sorcerer's Apprentice section of Fantasia in 1940, where he was given pupils in his eyes, a Caucasian skin colored face, and a pear-shaped body. In the 40's, he changed once more in "The Little Whirlwind", where he used his trademark pants for the last time in decades, lost his tail, got more realistic ears that changed with perspective and a different body anatomy. But this change would only last for a short period of time before returning to the one in "The Pointer", with the exception of his pants. In his final theatrical cartoons in the 50's, he was given eyebrows, which were removed in the more recent cartoons.

Mickey's top trademark is his ears, and they have also become a trademark of the Disney company in general. Basic design of Mickey's ears is two very round ears that are attached to a very round head. Other than the 1940s Mickey, he and Minnie's ears have had the unusual characteristic of always being viewable with the same symmetry despite which direction that their respective head is facing. In other words, the ears are always generally in the same position as they are in a frontal view of the character, and appear to be sideways on their head when facing left or right.

A large part of Mickey's screen persona is his famously shy, falsetto voice. From his first speaking role in The Karnival Kid onward, Mickey was voiced by Walt Disney himself, a task in which Disney took great personal pride. (Carl Stalling and Clarence Nash allegedly did some uncredited ADR for Mickey in a few early shorts as well.) However, by 1946, Disney was becoming too busy with running the studio to do regular voice work which means he could not do Mickey's voice anymore (and as it is speculated his cigarette habit had damaged his voice over the years), and during the recording of the Mickey and the Beanstalk section of Fun and Fancy Free, Mickey's voice was handed over to veteran Disney musician and actor Jimmy MacDonald. (Both Disney's and MacDonald's voices can be heard on the final soundtrack.) MacDonald voiced Mickey in the remainder of the theatrical shorts, and for various television and publicity projects up until his retirement in the mid-1970s, although Walt voiced Mickey again for the introductions of the original 1954—1959 The Mickey Mouse Club TV series and the "Fourth Anniversary Show" episode of the Disneyland TV series aired on September 11, 1958. 1983's Mickey's Christmas Carol marked the theatrical debut of the late Wayne Allwine as Mickey Mouse, who was the voice of Mickey until his death in 2009.Allwine was, incidentally, married to Russi Taylor, the current voice of Minnie Mouse. Les Perkins did the voice of Mickey in the TV special Down and Out with Donald Duck released in 1987.

Bret Iwan, a former Hallmark greeting card artist, is the current voice of Mickey. His early recordings in 2009 included work for the Disney Cruise Line, Mickey toys, Theme Parks, and also the Disney on Ice: Celebrations! ice show. His first video game voiceover of Mickey Mouse can be found on Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, a video game for PlayStation Portable. He has also voiced the character in the next games for the Kingdom Hearts series. Bret also does the vocal effects of Mickey in Epic Mickey.

Social impact

Use in politics

In the United States, protest votes are often made in order to indicate dissatisfaction with the slate of candidates presented on a particular ballot, or to highlight the inadequacies of a particular voting procedure. Since most states' electoral systems do not provide for blank balloting or a choice of "None of the Above", most protest votes take the form of a clearly non-serious candidate's name entered as a write-in vote[citation needed]. Cartoon characters are typically chosen for this purpose[citation needed]; as Mickey Mouse is the best-known and most-recognized character in America, his name is frequently selected for this purpose. (Other popular selections include Donald Duck and Bugs Bunny.) This phenomenon has the humorous effect of causing Mickey Mouse to be a minor but perennial contestant in nearly all U.S. presidential elections.[citation needed] A similar phenomenon occurs in the parliament elections in Finland and Sweden, although Finns and Swedes usually write Donald Duck or Donald Duck Party as a protest vote.
Mickey Mouse, Mickey Mouse wallpaper, Mickey Mouse poster, Mickey mouse standing,

Mickey Mouse's name has also been known to appear fraudulently on voter registration lists, most recently in the 2008 U.S. Presidential Election.

3D animation

3D computer graphics
are graphics that use a three-dimensional (3d animation) representation of geometric data, that is stored in the computer for the purposes of performing calculations and rendering 2D images. Such images may be stored for viewing later or displayed in real-time.

Despite these differences, 3D computer graphics rely on many of the same algorithms, as 2D (flash) computer vector graphics in the wire-frame model and 2D computer raster graphics in the final rendered display.

3D computer graphics  (3d animation) are often referred to as 3D models. Apart from the rendered graphic, the model is contained within the graphical data file. . A 3D model is the mathematical representation of any three-dimensional object. A model is not technically a graphic until it is displayed.

This is all about 3D animation

[flash tut ] Oval Tool

Oval Tool

You can use the Oval Tool to draw ovals and circles on your stage. Click and drag to draw an oval that will expand with the motion of your mouse until you release the mouse button; to make a perfect circle, hold down the Shift key while clicking and dragging.

You can set the fill and stroke color in the Colors section of the toolbar, by selecting a shade from the color picker. In the Options section, if you click on the little magnet, it turns on snapping to objects in the scene--so that as you draw your ovals, if they draw close enough to another object the edge will automatically snap to the other object.

The Oval Tool also has Smooth and Straighten options where, after drawing your shapes, you can select them and then click the Smooth or Straighten buttons to adjust your shapes.
